Helping others has always been a virtue intraditional Chinese culture. But what’s strangenowadays is that people dare not show their helpinghands to those in need. I would like to elaborate myviews on this issue.

乐于助人在中国传统文化中一直是一种美德。可是很奇怪的是，现在的.人都不敢伸出援手去帮助那些需要帮助的人

Firstly, I think people’s moral sense has egoism gains the upper hand, many peoplefind it growingly hard to help others. Secondly, thereis no denying that some tragic events turn out to be traps by people with evil intentions. Socommon people are becoming more risk-conscious and are more wary of traps and deceits.

首先，我认为人们的道德意识已经退化。当利己主义获得了上风，许多人觉得越来越难去帮助别人。其次，毫无疑问一些不幸的事件结果证明是有着不良目的的陷阱。因此，老百姓变得越来越有危机意识而陷阱和骗局也变得越来越谨慎。

In general, I contend the idea that we should be warm-hearted and offer help as well as lookout for potential hazards so as not to be deceived.

总的来说，我主张应该热心肠，我认为我们应该热心提供帮助同时也留心潜在危险，以免被骗。

助人为乐，是中华民族优良传统之一。通过“助人”，既向别人提供了帮助，又体现了一种自尊。帮助他人要摈弃私心杂念，不能处处为个人利益着想。遇事要多替别人考虑，主动伸手帮助那些需要帮助的人。做到助人为乐，要偷快面对生活，不能自寻烦恼。在帮助别人的同时，自己收获快乐，享受生活的乐趣。做到助人为乐，要积极行动起来，不能只说不做。要脚踏实地(be down-to-earth),热情周到地为他人服务，哪怕是简单的小事，也要从一点一滴做起。

There is a boy who lives next to me, he is about five years older than me. Everybody speaks highly of him, I always hear his name from my grandma, she tells me that he is a good guy. Some day, when I walk home after school, I see this guy is helping an old man pick up the fruit on the ground. He is such kind that I understand why everybody likes him.
