如长期读不准单词发音， 特别是发音相近的词。如bad—bed，sheep—ship，beat—bit，count—cant，here—hair，much—march，quite—quiet kitchen—chicken，mouth—mouse.

语速较慢，英语听力材料与学生的语言水平相当，学生的英语听力一般不会出现问题，但语速趋于正常，即使所听语言材料低于学生的语言水平，相当的学生也会感到吃力。为什么?
4.母语干扰影响听力的反应速度
许多学生在听到一段语言信息后，习惯用中文逐字逐句翻译出来，而不能直接将语言信息转化成一个情景或一幅画，因而影响了反应速度，理解程度和记忆效 果。如果我们注重情景，常做一些看图听和看图说的训练，对于克服听英语时母语的干扰，形成用英语思维是大有益处的。如看下面这幅小狗姿势及位置变化图，边 听边让学生依次迅速指出小狗相应的位置。
5.听数字和人名等常使中国学生感到头疼
要想听懂并迅速反应，首先要熟练掌握数字的基本表达法。 如序数词与基数词的读法，年月日，时间，电话号码，价格及简单的计算等。并通过视听相结合的方法进行训练。
随着美音材料的增多与流行的趋势，学生应了解美音的基本发音特点。在听美音材料“no，I m not.”或“I got it.I got the job.”时，90% 以上的学生听不出意思，误认遇到了生词。在到“I can’ t.”时误听为“I can.”
可将上述影响听力的诸多因素归结为：1.自身语言素质;2.语速：3.思维障碍;4.数字;5.口音。可根据学生情况，分专项进行集中训练，也可将这种训练渗透在日常教学中，如能将听、说、情景结合起来，效果会更好。
