一、主旨题
这类问题主要测试考生把握主题与中心思想的能力。主要形式有：
main idea of this passage is ________.
passage mainly discusses ________.
is the passage primarily(1.主要地， 首要地; 本来) concerned (2.感兴趣的;关切的;关注的)about?
is the main topic(1.题目， 论题， 话题) of this passage?
除了上述直接形式外，还有隐蔽型主旨题：
Which of the following(2.下述;下列;如下) is the author(1.著作家， 作者)'s advice(1.劝告， 忠告， 意见) to the reader(1.读者)?
标题是主旨题的变体。主要形式有：

作者的态度、写作目的与主题和中心思想关系密切，可以看做主旨题的延伸。主要形式有：
问写作目的：

问态度：
author's attitude(1.态度， 看法) toward(3.对于， 关于)s …… is ________.

此外，对于文章内容、风格与读者对象的评判也可归入此类题型。如：

四、推理题
这类问题主要测试考生能否在理解字面意义的基础上，根据所读材料进行一定的判断和推理，进而理解文章的隐含意义和深层意义。
