1.学英语要有自我约束力,要有恒心。
“春来不是读书天,夏日炎,正好眠。秋来蚊虫冬又冷,背起书包待明年”。如果这样,我们的学习永远不会学好。古人云：“人静而后安，安而能后定，定而能后慧，慧而能后悟”。很有道理。因此，在学习上我们必须要静心学习，抵制各种诱惑，集中精力，专心学习。
2.要对英语学习有信心。

要做到把耳朵听出茧子，把大舌头魔小，把书本读薄，把练习做厚。高中英语教学要求听、说、读、写四会并举。
7.预习单词。
在学新代章之前，必须先将单词背下来，只有先扫清了生词，老师讲课时才能听得懂，才能理解的深。掌握单词要做到把握音、形、义。名词分清可数、不可数;动词分清及物与不及物。记单词方法很多，但千万不要死记硬背，要从字母及字母组合的发音规律上去记，从单词拼写的细微判别上去记。每节课前要将课上教师要讲的内容预习一下，有不懂的问题课上可以重点听、重点记。
