My grandfather is the most generous person I know. He has given up a life of his own in order to give his grandchildren everything they want. Almost every evening he spends nearly two hours in checking whether his grandchildren have fully understood the lessons they learned in school, and explains to them again and again the difficult points in their textbooks until he feels sure that they have mastered all the content they have learned.

During weekends he always takes his grandchildren to the seaside, to the park, or to the sports ground, playing various games with them. Whenever his children are sick, he promptly sends for the doctor, orders a special diet for them, and stays with them patiently from morning till night. His generosity is also evident in his relationship with his neighhours and friends. For instance, three months ago his neighhour‘s nine-year-old daughter broke her leg in a traffic accident and was taken to hospital, but his neighhour could not afford to pay the hospital expenses. My grandfather,who could hardly live on his own income either, promptly gave all his savings to his old neighhour. Last week, his old friend Lao Zhang‘s house was seriously damaged during an unexpected storm.

My grandfather, though old and weak, made every effort to help Lao Zhang to repair the flooded shabby house. In a word, everybody who knows my grandfather respects him deeply and thinks highly of him for his kindness and generosity.

Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that drunken driving has been a great problem with which we are confronted. Generally speaking, there are several reasons accounting for /behind this phenomenon. Firstly, recent decades have witnessed the rapid development of people’s living standards. As a result, cars gained ever-increasing popularity and have found their way into our everyday life. Secondly, people participate in more activities orbanquets than ever before, where they will drink liquor/strong wine. Then, they may get drunk but continue to drive. Drunken driving is bound to generate severe consequence if we keep turning a blind eye to it. Firs and foremost, this behavior will directly threaten the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians/goers, resulting in traffic accidents, injuries and even deaths. Besides, treating the injured and repairing broken cars mean a grievous waste of money, time and resources. Last but not least, this irresponsible driving will make the road a nightmare, and thus, it will causes serious losses of faith in governments and the society. In view of the seriousness of this problem, effective measures must be taken before things get worse. First, it is essential that the supervisory role of laws and regulations should be strengthened to punish those performing drunken driving. Secondly, the public, especially drivers, should enhance their awareness of public safety. With stringent laws and alert public, it will only a matter of time for drunken driving to become things of past.

Today,I go to school ,and see my new has two green door,four white fans,two board and eight lights. I see thirty-nine yellow chairs and desks,and four big new classroom is not very big, but it is very beautiful,clean and new classroom is in the third floor. I chose to read the novel this winter vacation. I did not mean to read this one, because the author is Gustave Flaubert, a Frenchman, so the English version can’t be the original. I think the purpose for which our English teacher wants us to read the English novel is to let us experience what is real English. So reading a French novel in English is the same as reading an English novel in Chinese. I remember one sentence in our English textbook like this: No matter how well a poem is translated, something of the spirit of the original is lost. So is a novel. What a pity that I could not read an English original!

I read the gist of the story when I was in primary school. It is a story of how a beautiful woman dies. Madame Bovary is beautiful but her husband is not handsome and romantic. He is a doctor. He loves his wife with all his heart, but he does not know how to give her the kind of love she wants. Not being satisfied, Madame Bovary starts to find a lover who is both handsome and romantic. And she finds Léon at last. She spends all the money her father and her husband give her on her lover, and lives the kind of life she has always dreamed of, paying no attention to the fact that all the people in town regard her as a vampire. Happy days are always short however. Léon leaves her at last. And her heart breaks in pieces. There is no other way except to die. What a pity that such a beautiful lady dies in such a way!

Nowadays, the development of china surprised many people ,we can’t ignore some social problem in the process of it, such as aging population. It says that from 20xx to 20xx, elderly people aged over 60 will increase 221 million, an average of 8.6 million annual. elderly proportion of the population increased from 13.3% to 16%, making huge demand pressure on social insurance and pension services.

As for this situation, some elderly people are treated as burden by society and their family. Instead, they may cost a lot of money on food, clothing, medical care and medication, etc.

On the contrary, they need to spend a lot of time to accompany them. Thus their families don't have enough time to rest and work. In addition, because older person often feel lonely, they require family members to spend a lot of time to accompany them, thus rendering their families don't have enough events to rest and work.

However, I don’t agree with that. In my eyes, elderly people should not be seen as burden on the family and society.

At first, when older people are young, they made great
