先行詞與關係詞的定語從句-what

有些從句中的“引導詞”既包括有先行詞也包括有關係詞。如：

What he saw gave him a little fright. 他看到的情況使他有點害怕。

句中的what引導的是主語從句，不是定語從句。但若作進一步分析，這裏的what可分解為“先行詞+關係代詞”，也就是説，what he saw可分解為the thing that he saw。又如：

They eat whatever they can find. 他們找到什麼就吃什麼？

句中的whatever引導的是賓語從句，不是定語從句。但若作進一步分析，這裏的'whatever可分解為“先行詞+關係代詞”，也就是説，whatever they can find 可分解為anything that they can find。再如：

Whoever wants it may have it. 誰想要它都可拿去。

句中的whoever引導的是主語從句，不是定語從句。但若作進一步分析，這裏的whoever可分解為“先行詞+關係代詞”，也就是説，whoever wants it 可分解為anyone who wants it。
