I don't want to leave school, because my old school life was full of fun and I had many good friends in my old school.

We used to share our lunch together. We used to play ball games together.

We often did some surveys during the holiday. All of my teachers and schoolmates are very friendly and helpful. Now I have to leave school, I hope I will keep in touch with them and my new school life will be more enjoyable.

To hunt for a job or to pursue further study is a controversy among many college graduates. Some students plan to leave school to find a job for they believe four-year academic training has well prepared them for future career, but if I should make the choice I would prefer to continue my education for a higher degree.

This preference can be explained by a couple of factors. For one thing, I am keenly interested in my subject and university is a good place to do more research.

If I stayed here for another couple of years, I would surely get further insights into the field where I study. For another, the development of society demands people with better qualifications. The higher degree one holds, the more competence one may have.

Above all, with several more years at school, I will be a better-educated person with surer control of myself and a better understanding of the world. Naturally, it will be easier for me to find a more satisfactory job in the future.

Therefore, I am now working hard on postgraduate entrance exams. Though it means more time and money will be spent, I firmly believe it is well worth the efforts and costs.

From the above table, we can see that the students of this university have three main choices after graduation. Of these choices, the students who have found a job only take up 50%.

In contrast, students who pursue further study by taking the postgraduate entrance exam or going abroad have increased greatly than before, with the total percentage of 47%. Indeed, this phenomenon is also quite common in other universities。

The following factors can account for the choices of graduates. Above all, with the eollment extension of universities, college graduates are facing the severe

employment situation, which forces them to find another way out. Moreover, in information age, knowledge is updated very rapidly. Many college students find their knowledge is not enough for their future career.

Besides, some college students would not like to enter into the complicated society and want to escape from the reality temporarily by going to further study。

From my point of view, one’s choice after graduation should be based on his individual condition. Though taking the postgraduate entrance exam or going abroad for further study is a good choice, it is not necessarily true of everyone, because it might involve many factors, such as your future career direction, your economic condition. Therefore, we should take a full account before we make our decisions。
